And the winner is ...

The winner of our public poll to find Stroud's best shop front was announced on May 7th.

Around 250 votes were cast as five local traders battled it out for the honour.

Walkers Bakery was named as the winner at our annual town meeting. It was a good night for Kendrick Street traders  with nearby Kanes Records running-off with the Trader of the Year award.

Farmers Market celebrates its 10th birthday

fresh-n-local_logo.gifSaturday 4th July will herald the 10th anniversary of farmers’ markets in Gloucestershire, when Stroud farmers’ market celebrates its 10th birthday. The market, which runs every Saturday from 9 am to 2 pm, is considered one of the best in the UK and has won many awards and accolades.

Post Office fight wins our clerk a Chicago adventure

Sue Creswick attended the International Institute of Municipal Clerks annual conference in Chicago. She won the trip by submitting an article on the Town Council's campaign to save Uplands Post Office.
