NOTICE: Slad Road Closure

severn_trent.jpgGloucestershire County Council has confirmed that Severn Trent will now be closing Slad Road from Wednesday January 20th to undertake a major sewage repair scheme. The closure was due to begin on January 4th but was delayed due to Severn Trent's failure to complete a new relief road into Folly Lane. The work is scheduled to last until April 6th. Diversion routes are in force across the town centre. Full details here .

 

 

 
Stroud's Voice
Your say on where 2,000 new homes will go

01_front_uplands_2.jpgPlanners are inviting Stroud residents to comment on seven options that will guide the future shape of housing and jobs in the district.

A series of public meetings, including one in Stroud, will offer the chance to find out more about how the district council could find sites for 2,000 new homes and encourage a new generation of jobs by 2026. A six-week consultation process runs until March 22nd.

The Stroud Photo Ages Project is the brainchild of two town residents, Caroline Denny from Middle Street and Pete Blythe from Bisley Old Road.

Merrywalks roadworks - second update about BT

merry_web.jpgAs part of its attempts to communicate with everyone living, working or visiting our town, Gloucestershire County Council has pledged to provide regular communications about its plans for a new bridge over the canal at Wallbridge/Merrywalks. Contracts are currently being drawn up for the work which is due to take place throughout much of 2010.
