Stroud Hospital the subject of a public meeting

stroud-hospital.jpgStroud Town Council and mayor John Marjoram have arranged the meeting for August 31 at the Subscription Rooms.

 

 

"We want to try and explain to residents what is happening with the hospital's transfer to a social enterprise company," said Mr Marjoram.

Representatives from the NHS and the new Community Interest Company are being invited to speak as are opponents from the Stroud Against the Cuts campaign group and trade unions.

Mr Marjoram said Stroud MP Neil Carmichael had also agreed to address the meeting.

The meeting will be at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
