Stroud in Bloom competition winner

Stroud-in-bloom-window-winner-julie-prockterStroud Town Council cleaner Julie Prockter swept her way to victory in the Stroud in Bloom competition.

Thanks to her creative work the town council won the Chamber of Trade Cup for Best Shop Window Display.

The theme for the competition was nursery rhymes and Julie chose Dr Foster went to Gloucester.

The crowning glory of the display was Dr Foster’s hat floating on the water - which was really a natty piece of headgear becoming to town mayor John Marjoram.

“Julie deserves this award. It was her idea and her work and we are thrilled with the result,” said town clerk Sue Capener. “And of course we thank John for the loan of his hat.”
