The following events have so far been confirmed for the town in 2010: The Winter's End Festival. International indoor Progressive Rock Festival with 12 bands over two days at The Space in Lansdown.
The Stroud International Textile Festival will spread its next programme over 23 days from 1st May.
Hawkwood College Open Day on Bank Holiday Monday May 3rd from 10am - 5pm. Brimscombe and Thrupp Grand Village Fête is celebrating its 21st Anniversary on Saturday 29 May. On the Brimscombe & Thrupp Playing Fields (A419) from 10:30am - 8pm.
The Site10 Festival of artist-led projects will take place from 1st-30th June.
Saturday 5th June is World Environment Day and the new date for the Stroud Festival of Nature 2010 at Stratford Park.
The annual Stroud Country Show takes place at Stratford Park on Saturday 17th July 10.30am - 4.30pm.
Stroud Festival Fortnight will run from 3rd-19th September. It includes the Food and Drink and Walking Festivals. The Stroud Fringe will take place on the first weekend in September. Details have been confirmed that the Open Eco Homes Event will take place on September 11/12th to co-incide with the Heritage Open Days.

As part of the multi-million pound re-opening of the canal, a series of major roadworks will be taking place around the town this year.
We have created this dedicated page which will be updated with details of the various schemes as soon as we receive information from Gloucestershire County Council which is overseeing the works. Click on header for the latest updates.
Stroud will know in November if it really is the greatest town in the country.
At the end of July a team of judges spent two days assessing our town after it was shortlisted for the Great Town Award. We are one of three towns up for the award, alongside Hebden Bridge in Yorkshire and Westport in Ireland.
The Town Council has added its voice to the growing opposition over government plans to close Stroud Magistrates Court.
The building in Parliament Street serves the whole district and currently operates for two days every week.
