Proclamation Ceremony
To mark the passing of our late Sovereign, Queen Elizabeth the Second, a ceremony will be held on the Subscription Rooms forecourt, George Street, Stroud, at 4pm on Sunday 11th September 2022.
The Mayor, Cllr Stella Parkes, will read a proclamation to the people of Stroud marking the beginning of our new King Charles III's reign.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

Mayor in the Market
Stroud's Mayor Stella Parkes is launching 'Mayor in the Market' so residents can come chat to her about town centre issues.
Cllr Parkes will be at the Shambles on Fridays (from 5 August) from 11.30am-12.30 and is keen to speak to people about their concerns.

Play Equipment at The Leazes
Stroud Town Council has given a play area a new lease of life.
It has installed new play equipment in the field at The Leazes, behind Cotswolds Playhouse off Parliament Street.
The £33,000 project includes new swings and slide as well as a zip wire and climbing frame.

Stroud Railway Station Survey
People using Stroud Railway Station are being asked to take part in a travel survey which will help shape plans for future improvements.
Stroud Town Council is running the survey in conjuction with the Gloucestershire Community Rail Partnership (GCRP) during July.
