Incident at Stroud Cemetery
Stroud Town Council is working closely with Gloucestershire Police following a serious sexual assault at Stroud Cemetery.
Investigating officers are keen to hear from anyone who was in the Bisley Road area between 9pm and 11pm on Saturday, May 7.
The community policing team is increasing their patrols of the area, including throughout the night.

Vandalism in the cemetery
Stroud Town Council has condemned vandalism in the cemetery in Bisley Road.
At least 15 memorial stones have been damaged in the old cemetery, which is now a nature reserve and rarely used for burials. Many stones at the site date back to the Victorian period when the Chapel of Rest was built.

Wildlife crime
Stroud Town Council has condemned the killing of an adder, a protected species.
A member of the public reported finding the body of the snake. It appeared to have been repeatedly hit.
The incident on 3 April was reported to Gloucestershire Police. The location of the attack is not being released to the public to prevent adders being targeted in the area.

Arson Attack in Park Gardens
Vandals have caused serious damage to a shelter in memory of those people from Stroud who sacrificed their lives for their country during the First World War.
The shelter in Park Gardens in Slad Road was set alight sometime Friday night.
Gloucestershire Fire Service was called to incident on Saturday morning and had to cut away some parts of the shelter.
